Portable & Temporary Signs

CORRUGATED PLASTIC SIGNS: 24×18 Yard Signs / Political Signs / up to 8’x4’ 24” x 18”:

We offer full-color digitally-printed, and one- and two-color screen-printed corrugated plastic 24” x 18” signs with wire stands (These are the standard political signs you see on the corner during elections.)

Full-color sign are more expensive and are available in singles or small quantities, as well as large quantities.

One- and two-color signs are a money-saver and begin in lots of 10 and can be printed in the 1000s.

We also offer heavy-duty, black powder-coated sign stakes to better withstand our coastal winds.

Corrugated plastic comes in 8’x 4’ sheets, and thus can be printed and cut to any size for temporary uses beyond standard yard signs.

A-FRAME SIDEWALK SIGN: Available 24×18 and 24×36

A-frame sidewalk signs are perfect for restaurants and stores offering daily specials or real estate agents announcing an open house.

Our black powder-coated steel frames hold either aluminum composite (long-term use) or corruagated plastic (short-term use) faces. Come clients print the faces both sides so they can be flipped to show another message, when needed.

*These also can be faced with chalkboard media for use with liquid chalk markers.

Our white or black plastic Sign-A-Cade frames typically hold a corrugated plastic insert or we also offer a less-expensive permanent printed face that is part of the frame and doesn’t change out.

PORTABLE REAL-ESTATE FRAME SIGNS (also shown on Real Estate / Job Site page)

24” x 18” Black, powder-coated steel: Most common, typical residential real estate yard sign.

Available with a 6” rider slot on the bottom, top or both.

Horizontal is most common, also available special-order in vertical format.

24” x 36” Black, powder-coated steel (with bottom rider): Effective for builder signs or commercial real-estate signs when a standard 4” x 4” post can’t be used due to space or underground lines.

ULTRABOARD: Rigid Foam Core

Our answer to foam core is Ultraboard — a rigid foam core with PVC faces that doesn’t warp! This is a lightweight substrate that direct prints beautifully. It is perfect for trade-shows, conferences and hanging restaurant menus. It’s only downside is if handled repeatedly or roughly, the corners can break when dropped. This is a favorite of our clients, especially for framing.

What is the process for getting a sign made?

We pride ourselves on both the quality of our work and on providing exceptional customer service. When having a job sign made, the following list will give you a good idea of how we start with an idea and finish with a sign.

  1. Collect information to provide a quote:
    1. Identify size and substrate.
    2. Single-sided or double-sided?
    3. Provide artwork ready to print, or provide logo, text and info for design team. (artwork@portcitysigns.com)
    4. Identify deadline.
  2. With this info, we can provide a quote.
  3. Approve quote and place a 50% deposit.
  4. Design team will email a proof.
  5. Proof approval puts sign into production.
  6. Client will be called for pickup.
  7. Balance due at time of pickup or installation.

*We offer Net 15 terms to commercial clients upon request/approval.

What's the turn around time?

Most banners can be produced in 3-7 days. When needed, standard scrim banners can be produced in one day. Large backdrops, and pop-ups generally require 5-7 business days depending on complexity.

How are reorders handled?

To move your re-order through our system quickly, email theteam@portcitysigns.com  the prior proof sheet or the job order/invoice number. Indicate you are looking for an exact re-order and you would like to bypass the proof. This will send your order directly to production!

What factors go into the cost of a job site sign?

Our pricing depends on a number of factors.. The substrate, media type, creativity of the design, and complexity of the assembly. Our estimating software uses an algorithm that considers each of these factors in producing a price. This is why we don’t use a square foot price for each substrate.
