Our Favorite Signs & Graphics Projects of 2021

Another incredible year is coming to a close! While we’re excited and ready to take on all the awesome jobs we have ahead of us in 2022, we’d like to take this opportunity to reflect on some of our favorite projects from 2021. A huge thank you to our clients and partners -- old and new -- for trusting us to bring their signs and graphic ideas to life this year, we are so grateful for you!

Here are our favorite projects from 2021, hand-picked by our team members.

Johnstone Supply Truck Wraps

Although Johnstone Supply is a national company, the local team wanted their box trucks to show homage to Wilmington. We used vibrant colors to uniquely present images of the Battleship North Carolina and the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge.

Atlantic Packaging Wall Graphics and Panels

We were honored to work with Liz Carroll Interiors to design a visual timeline for this storied company. The beautiful, high gloss acrylic prints incorporate a newspaper theme to reflect Atlantic Packaging's path from small town newspaper to worldwide packaging resource and distribution company. The wall mural map showcases the company's many locations.

Senter Weigand Builders Garage Basketball Floor

We particularly enjoyed this project because (some) team members are Duke fans and it was super cool to recreate something as iconic as Duke's Cameron Indoor Stadium floor. Authorized by Duke University, this project was a dream come true for a devout Duke fan.

Pier 33 Apartments Wall Art

Drucker + Falk LLC wanted the art in their beautiful Pier 33 Luxury Waterfront Apartments to show the history of the Wilmington riverfront. We used historic photos provided by the New Hanover County Library's North Carolina Collection to create adhesive canvas prints that can be easily changed over time. The end result is elegant and classy.

Red Door Homes, Florence, SC, Building Graphics

This was an extensive, three-phase project producing wall murals and signage for the new Red Door Homes design center in Florence, SC. Red Door Homes and their marketing partner Wilmington Design believe in branding every inch of the office spaces and showrooms. Our work included branding the windows and walls, including creating faux windows for a sample house, and creating and installing custom "wallpaper."

Thomas Construction Portrait Plaques

We collaborated with Morvil Advertising & Design to produce a sophisticated display for the Thomas Construction team portraits, with name and title, on the wall in a way that can be easily updated when needed.

Taco Baby Restaurant Graphics

The owner of Taco Baby, Joseph Sena, had original art graphics created to be put up in the new restaurant downtown. He is a massive fan of art and we enjoyed working on his unique projects.

Hawthorne Residential Partners Amazon Lockers

Hawthorne Residential Partners wanted to beautify their Amazon Hub lockers at four of their Wilmington apartment communities.  The colorful wraps tie in the Hawthorne branding to create an artistic element from what were boring, drab lockers.

UNCW Wall Graphics

UNCW wanted to update their branding graphics and wall murals. Given the high quality media we use on every job, we were able to easily remove prior graphics, and efficiently install new vibrant murals. GO TEAL!

Port City Signs & Graphics Interior Wall Mural

“We always have loved doing wall murals for our clients, but never have had enough space to do a spectacular one for ourselves. This one definitely falls in the "spectacular" category and shows off our design, printing and installation talent. Also, it was truly a team effort. Our lead designer, Carlos Perez, put together a creative layout that shows off some history and the landmarks in our community and boldly announces our own history of launching in 1948! The photography was provided by the very talented Andrew Sherman, who actually used to be one of our team members, many years ago. Our team worked together on the quick installation and surprised me when I returned from a trip -- what a gift!”
- Sabrina, owner of Port City Signs & Graphics

Cheers to a great 2021 and an even better 2022!
